If you've ever wanted to purchase a robot vacuum, now is the time to get one. CNET's top-rated models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday with savings of up to 57%..
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that has smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its 180-minute running time is impressive. It also self-empties and automatically refills its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.

The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s most intelligent robot to date, is the Roomba j7+. The most significant innovation is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. It uses AI to detect objects like charging cords and shoes. It's the first robot to send you images of objects that it encounters, so you can instruct that it is safe to avoid it.
The Combo j7+ is also the best robot to mop we've ever tested, picking up spills and dirt effortlessly and leaving no trace that it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. You can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't sweep in areas you don’t want. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can turn it on and off using your voice.
The design is also better than the competition. It features an elegant, top piece that looks like an toy, not an obnoxious and loud robot. The Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System self-empties, which is great to speed up cleaning.
In our tests, we observed that the j7+ was quick to took away dirt, dust, and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in one spot instead of scattering it across the floor. It was able to collect sand, small gravel and even a little grit. Most robots could not achieve this feat. It did without getting caught up in our pet's hair.
While it's not quite as sophisticated as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum, and it's not able to clean stairs The j7+ is still a solid option for those who need both mopping and a vacuum in their home. It's not too expensive and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.
Although the iRobot Home app is very easy to use however, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that work with robotic cleaners. It can take a long time to download updates, and often it's difficult to know whether the update is working until you see it in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
When you're looking for a robot vacuum that does more than just clean floors, the most effective option is likely to be a hybrid. This category of bots typically includes a built-in water tank which means they can mop and vacuum your home simultaneously. They also have a number of extra features, including smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance, and the ability to dry and wash mopping pads. They are expensive at retail, but usually are reduced on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock is one of our favorite robot vacuums, and the Q5+ isn't an exception. It's the cheapest model in their auto-empty line. Although robot vacuum cleaner for sale doesn't have some of the more luxurious features (like no-go zones and multi-story memories), it's still an excellent option when you're willing to make a few compromises to save a few bucks.
The Q5+ is notably gentle around obstacles such as table legs and walls which makes it a good option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies. This is a area where many robot vacuums that are less expensive do not excel in. The Q5+'s navigation system is also superb, with only a few mishaps along walls and in corners.
The Q5+, as with other Roborock products, can be controlled by only a few buttons on your device or through the Roborock App. The app lets you start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, create virtual barrier and no-go areas and alter your home map, or re-label rooms.
If you decide to go with the Q5+, it comes with a new auto-empty dock, which was designed specifically to make this machine easy to maintain. It requires a screwdriver for install, but once in place, emptying the bin is easy. It has a large LCD screen, which is useful when setting up schedules and altering settings. This isn't an essential feature for everyone, but it's one that will aid in keeping track of your robot's maintenance intervals with ease.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever, well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of mopping and vacuuming. Its design and function are among the most advanced available however, it's also expensive.
The base station is attractive and is easily hidden when not in use, and its size is quite compact. But the station's main selling factor is its ability to automate various tasks and functions that other robots leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which many other robots require you to do) and empty the dust bin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot fully charged and clean.
Its vacuuming performance is also impressive. It's the only robovacs that I've tried that does a really good job of collecting debris from unfinished floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.
The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially in the area of navigation. Its LiDAR and laser sensors aren't as reliable as some other robovacs, meaning it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms of the home. It's also unable to climb stairs as well as other competitors and doesn't come with a dock to create a cleaning area for plush carpets.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent choice for those who need an automated vacuum that can do everything.
However, if you're looking to save money or simply don't care about the limitations of this robotic there are many other great choices available with a wide range of eufy models that cost substantially less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for example, is cheaper and offers the same experience in the app, but with more features, including the ability to climb stairs, a full-function dock, and superior overall vacuuming performance on bare floors as well as high and low-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy is an Anker company with a long history of creating robot vacuums with the right balance of performance, features, and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning power for hard and carpeted floors, as well as mopping capabilities for a low cost. It's easy to set it up, simply snap on one of the side brush and turn it on, then connect the charging dock. The app takes you through several steps to connect to your Wi-Fi, and the G30 is ready to go. The dock must be placed close to an outlet that has plenty of room to move.
The G30 is a small device that measures 2.85 inches in height, so it will be placed under most couches and pieces of low-clearance furniture. The design is less ostentatious than some rival models, sporting a sleek black finish and three physical buttons that control Auto Cleaning, which can be paused or started. Recharge and Spot Clean (which scrubs an area in an arc for two minutes). robot vacuum cleaner for sale can also link the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.
The most important feature that distinguishes the G30 apart from most competitors is the method it cleans. It uses an integrated map to draw an image of the unmovable items that are in its path. It can remember what it has already cleaned and where it cannot access. If it requires a recharge, it will automatically return to its base, and then resumes cleaning where it began.
The elegant G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba 675 is much better constructed, has lower recurring costs, charges more quickly and has the same battery life, while providing better performance on floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It also comes with a larger dust bin that doesn't have to be emptied as frequently and comes with the boundary strips to ensure it isn't in certain areas. The G30 is more affordable and simpler to maintain. Its smaller dust container doesn't need emptying as often and it has less trouble with bulky materials like cereal.
